ID4AP House

First Floor | Living Room

The beauty of these 2023 Luxembourgish residences lies in their chromatic restraint and the rhythmic play of light across expansive, four-sided orientations. By dedicating an entire level to a single dwelling, the architecture achieves a rare spatial fluidness, where the “ceremony of arrival” begins the moment the elevator opens directly into a private gallery wrapped in hand-applied Marmorino plaster. The aesthetic is defined by a “Soft Minimalist” approach, where the coldness of modern glass is tempered by the organic warmth of wide-plank smoked oak and honed natural stone.

The true elegance is found in the invisible details: flush-to-wall doors that disappear into the cabinetry, recessed baseboards that make the walls appear to float, and integrated ceiling coves that bathe the perimeter in a soft, ethereal glow during the long European twilight. This design language celebrates the luxury of “quietude,” prioritizing the tactile quality of a monolithic quartzite kitchen island or the precise shadow gap of a cantilevered ceiling over loud ornamentation.
