This green bridge project in Romania reimagines urban infrastructure as a lush, living conduit that bridges the gap between high-density residential blocks and public transit corridors. From an architectural point of view, the structure is defined by its organic, curvilinear geometry and sculptural concrete piers that feature circular “oculus” cutouts to reduce visual mass at street level. The design integrates a sophisticated bio-envelope, using a modular system of suspended greenery that provides acoustic insulation from the heavy traffic below while creating a micro-climate for pedestrians within the semi-enclosed walkway.

     The project utilizes high-contrast lighting scenarios to demonstrate the bridge’s dual identity. Daytime renders emphasize the vibrant saturation of the vertical gardens against the overcast sky, while the twilight visualizations focus on the integrated LED “halo” lighting that traces the structural ribs, casting a cool blue glow that mirrors the motion blur of the city. By meticulously detailing the subsurface scattering of the leaves and the reflective properties of the wet asphalt in the sunset shots, the visualization effectively communicates a sense of safety and “destination” in an otherwise utilitarian urban environment.
